Founder, PT, DPT

Dusty created NextGen Athletics after years of treating youth athletes in South Jordan, Utah and noticing a common trend. Utah youth athletes are NOT being taught exercise technique nor how to improve athleticism in progressive, safe manner.

He believes that it is his mission to bridge the gap between inexperience and full tilt performance as efficiently as possible while educating his athletes on injury prevention.

Dusty received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 2019. He moved to Utah in 2016 after receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University (WVU).

Dusty played hockey for WVU for 4 years following 2 years of junior hockey in Canada. Dusty coached strength and conditioning for high school and college level athletes for 7 years prior to graduating from physical therapy school and has been practicing PT ever since.

Since moving to Utah, he has become hooked on snowboarding and hiking while rediscovering his love of hockey.
